The two main mobile networks in Curaçao are Digicel and Flow. Both provide coverage across the island, including in urban areas like Willemstad and other main tourist destinations.

Buying a local SIM card

Prefer to buy a traditional SIM card on arrival, or need a local number?

At the airport you can find Flow (Chippie) or Digicel. You can pay by credit card or in local Guilders. US dollars and euros are often accepted too, but keep an eye on the exchange rate. Don't forget that you'll need to provide identification; your passport details are recorded at the time of purchase. If you'd rather not buy at the airport, both providers have stores across the island, and you can also find SIM cards at some supermarkets.

Tourists can buy a SIM card in Curaçao starting from $20.

Need a lot of data? Flow offers a SIM card with 10 GB for $20 or 20 GB for $40. At Digicel you'll pay $20 for 5 GB or $50 for 20 GB. While these bundles might seem attractive, the validity period is unfortunately quite short, and smaller bundles aren't available.

Staying longer in Curaçao? It's a good idea to visit a local store (not at the airport) with your address details, as the rates for residents are significantly lower. If your tourist SIM card runs out, you can usually top it up at local rates. Keep in mind, though, that Flow and Digicel don't sell their regular prepaid cards to tourists.
